Pop Rap: Known for its widespread, mainstream appeal, Pop Raps first breakout str was LL Cool J. The loops music Prince and MC Hammr quickly rose to the top of the dance loops Rap scene and the acid beats charts with lyrics that were less controversial thn those of the drum n bass loops Rap genre, and ths were more likely to receive radio airplay.
Christian Rap: While HipHop was garnering a reputation for less thn savory lyrics and artists for questionable activities, othr artists were expressing their faith through HipHop. Christian Rap took off in the acid drum loops 1980s and early 1990s with rap groups like P.I.D. and S.F.C.
Jazz Rap: Although Jazz Rap has nevr enjoyed mainstream commercial success, the hiphop sounds oftn incorporats Afrocentric and political thems. Gang Starr and Gil ScottHern are oftn cited as two of the trance sound effect Jazz rappers.
